Jodi has worked with a variety of health promoting organizations. She began working at the community level with Hamilton Public Health on tobacco control. For the last 13 years she has been self-employed, working with organizations that build capacity for evidence-informed programming. Some examples are The Health Communication Unit at University of Toronto, the Canadian Best Practices Portal at the Public Health Agency of Canada, the Nutrition Resource Centre in Ontario, and the National Collaborating Centre for Methods and Tools.
With these organizations she has developed and delivered supports using traditional methods such as face to face workshops and print materials. Five years ago, she transitioned to working primarily on more self-directed, online capacity-building resources.
